19:00 – 21:00
ICF @ Block 336
336 Brixton Road
London SW9 7AA
Description
In this workshop led by Nkem Ndefo, experience a unique approach to resilience-building, which fosters the flexible strength and increased capacity to overcome adversity, heal and transform systems of oppression and inequity into spaces where we thrive. Through focused lecture, personal reflection, and experiential practice, participants will decode the language of the body by identifying stress and trauma responses in an intersectional and ecologically sensitive framework. Together, participants will practise real-time regulation tools that harness the body’s innate biology to settle overactive and detrimental responses – reclaiming energy, creative flexibility and connection to ourselves, one another, and our shared liberation.
If you require additional access measures to enable your participation, including BSL interpretation please email info@healingjusticeldn.org. Inline with our commitment to disability justice, we will try to accommodate as much as possible.
