This is emergent work and sometimes it takes time for language to catch up. Throughout the Rehearsing Freedoms programme you might encounter phrases and terms that are unfamiliar. We invite you to ask clarifying questions of the speakers, panellists, and workshop facilitators. Additionally, we will continue to update this page throughout the festival with shared and emergent definitions and interpretations. Community-led health
The self-determined effort of creating collective health provisions and services to localised needs and contexts.
Movement-building
Movement-building is the collective effort of mobilising people, communities, resources towards a shared vision in service of liberation.
Healing Justice
Healing Justice is a framework that connects our health and healing to structural justice to undo harm and violence.
Disability Justice
Disability Justice is a framework and movement that connects how oppressions intersect with ableism and disability such as race, gender, class, sexuality amongst others. Disability Justice understands the interdependence and wholeness of our lives in sickness and disability.
