‘The breaking of bread is the removal of separation’
A communal food gathering space to nourish ourselves and deepen in connection and community. Come gather and eat with us (40 spaces). Sisterwoman will be providing intentional nourishment for the festival with a delicious, curated menu of plant forward vegan soul food. Festival attendees will be able to enjoy Sisterwoman’s delicious food at Avalon Cafe on Saturday 21 and Saturday 28 October between 7 and 9pm. To support making this event accessible to as many people as possible, please only register for one community dinner. If you are attending one of the community harvests, you will not be eligible to attend a second one. Thank you.

Biography
Safiya Robinson is a creative cook, writer, wellness advocate and the founder of Sisterwoman Vegan, a plant-based social enterprise exploring wellness through food. Inspired by her Black American, Jamaican and British heritage she creates plant forward dishes, believing that food is a healing modality, and centring community, education and mindfulness in her work. With a focus on holistic wellness and mental health she creates spaces for critical food conversation and seeks to empower us all to think more critically about the food that we eat. Through supper clubs, cooking lessons, writing, events and food education, her focus is intentional nourishment. She is currently enrolled in a masters programme in the Anthropology of Food at SOAS University. Safiya was nominated one of Code Hospitality’s Top 100 Women in Hospitality 2021.
