In late 2023, Rehearsing Freedoms brought more than 100 radical social practitioners, artists, healthcare providers, activists, dreamers, weavers, community healers and organisers together attending to the work of helping us all get free. This rehearsal of freedoms took shape through workshops, performances, community gatherings, conversations, immersive spaces, and skill shares where we practise freedom and forge new ways of being.

The festival’s 80+ events were curated to take us through an exploration and deepening of our fundamental human needs for liberation and living whole lives. Each week in rotation across our primary venues, we journeyed through safety, dignity, belonging, and access to life itself.
