Narratives of Healing
Description
In this workshop led by Sarah Joynt-Bowe, participants will explore residual, dominant and emergent narratives of health and healing to workshop and explore new modes of storytelling. Participants will interrogate the fundamentals of narrative power-building, unpack the ways in which social justice communications may reinforce harmful narratives, and rehearse new ways of communicating.
Together we will explore what potentials open up if we shift our shared understanding of healing towards an expansive, justice-minded framework? And what do life-affirming and trauma-informed narratives of healing offer our movements?
